Interpretation is the oral (spoken) transmission of a message from one language to another. Journey's End Interpreters listen carefully, analyze the message, and accurately convey the true meaning.

Once a customer, it's easy to schedule an interpreter. Just send an email to: Include the date, time, language requested, contact name and phone number, and location of service, and we will set up your requested appointment.

Community Training:

The Journey's End Interpreting Department offers periodic interpreter, community, and customer training. These interactive trainings enable our interpreters to enhance their skill set, and advise customers how to most effectively and professionally utilize interpreters. Interpreter trainings are also offered at a fee to community members and those who aspire to a career in interpreting.

Translation is the written rendition of a text in one language into a written text in another language. The Interpreting Department offers document translation in a variety of languages on a case-by-case basis. Prices and turnaround time for document translation are based on content and complexity of the text, words per page, and formatting needs.

To receive a quote for document translation, send an email with the formatted document you would like translated to: Include the language(s) you would like the document translated into, a contact name and phone number, billing information, and any other relevant information or questions.

The Interpreting Department at Journey's End Refugee Services, Inc. seeks professional and experienced applicants for on-call positions for many different languages including:

Karen, Karenni, Burmese, Mai Mai, Kizigua, Nepali, Swahili, Tigrinya and more.

Candidates must be fluent in English and have professional Interpreting experience in order to be considered. Please note: Interpreting positions generally offer between 0-8 hours of work per week, depending on incoming requests, language demand, and availability of the interpreter.
